Since we reviewed belting yesterday, I thought I'd go ahead and post the two belted looks back to back. Here, I belted both the cotton dress and the silk vest with an oversized leather belt. Several statement accessories round out the look.
Initially, I was very intent on keeping this collection light and airy. Hence the use of natural fabrics in natural tones. However, in an effort to stretch our summer pieces into fall and even into winter, consider pairing them with darker shades of grey as well as black.
When I styled the shoot for our summer collection, I was surprised by how much I liked our black cotton tank with our skirt, for example. I wasn't anticipating liking it so much. I really only made the black cotton tank because I know everyone needs good basics in foundational neutral colors. But it turns out, our summer collection is even more versatile than I realized!
I'm keeping this post short and sweet since I'm headed to work and then I will be running around in preparation for our pop up shop in Alexandria, VA tonight! Can't make it to our event but interested in purchasing some of these pieces for yourself? You can do that right here!
The clothing and shoes that are not part of the Threads by Nomad collection can be found at The Hive (301 Cameron) and The Shoe Hive (127 S. Fairfax) in Alexandria, Virginia.
